Senior Estimator, Construction – Calgary – Toronto – Vancouver
A leading Canadian construction company with over 30 years of experience, is seeking an Senior Estimator for the Calgary office. They are a conscientious, profitable, financially secure and growth oriented organization.
Based in Calgary, the successful applicant will be part of an aggressive and entrepreneurial team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
You will be required to do site investigations, quantity/material takeoff’s, prepare project estimates & budgets, checking estimates for extensions, accuracy and errors, contacting sub-trades and suppliers for quotes, evaluating quotations, as well as recommending sub-trades. Also, the successful candidate will be responsible to oversee estimators in the department for tender finalization, pre-construction services and attending design meetings.
Skills and Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)
Diploma or Degree in Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience. A minimum of 7-10 years estimating, controls and/or engineering experience in construction. Advanced knowledge of assigned discipline, estimating techniques, cost control, conceptual budgeting and the ability to interpret computerized cost data/systems, is essential.
