Technical Sales Specialist Ontario

This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing, Ontario.

Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining, initiating and implementing business growth for power distribution, power quality and general industrial electrical products. Actively drive the sales development in Ontario. Major activities include serving as the lead technical sales specialist for primary assigned products, sales planning, product launches, and market analysis. Develop personal, technical and commercial competencies to be viewed as the market leader in the assigned markets.

To provide the expertise in these products and to assist all the sales territories to secure opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement sales strategies applicable to assigned products in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve GM$ and market share objectives

Sales Responsibility in:

  • Sales of assigned product solutions to their accounts. Articulate product solution strategies (commercial, product and technology).
  • Identification of potential competitive target accounts to develop and implement account conversion plans 25% of your time.
  • Pricing negotiations, making sales calls, presentations and demonstrations (conducting technical seminars)
  • Execution of Power and Power Quality solution based launches and commercial programs
  • Stay abreast of current technology in order to be recognized as an applications expert and a leader in the sale of assigned products

    Educational Requirements:
    Electrical/Electronic Technologist, CET or eligible for certification.

    Prior Experience:
    Minimum of five (5) years related sales, technical or marketing experience
    Product knowledge/application experience in power distribution, power quality and industrial.

    Compensation:
    Total compensation will be based on experience with a competitive base salary plus commission plus bonus, car allowance, a comprehensive benefit package, etc.
