<li>Manage the Building Automation Systems Sales Team within the Central Area to achieve order intake, profit, growth, and customer satisfaction goals.</li>

<li>Ensure a proactive and focused sales approach based upon assigned Vertical Markets, and other sales and business initiatives as defined by the company.<span id="more-416"></span></li>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<li>Deploys and motivates sales staff to achieve successful execution of all sales activities for assigned geographical area. Complete accountability for a staff of 7-11 employees</li>
<li>Acts as company representative and liaison to customers and local authorities for Building Automation / Controls in order to understand and capitalize on local market opportunities, foster successful relationships and create positive image<br />
Develops, recommends and implements appropriate action plans to attain order intake plan, maximize employee talents and achieve outstanding customer and employee satisfaction for assigned geographic area</li>
<li>Formulates sales strategies ranging from highly competitive plans and spec projects to long-term planning for multi-site owners</li>
<li>Coaches, Mentors, and trains sales employees to increase selling effectiveness and achieve company objectives, including call planning activities, Strategic Selling, Financial Selling, Executive Selling, and Presentation Skills, long range planning and performance management (goal setting, one on one coaching sessions, and periodic performance and account reviews), with particular emphasis on large target or key account sales</li>
<li>Supports the development and leads implementation of Business Target Agreements at the branch level including sales order intake forecast, annual budget, profit plan, cost control, and other financial deliverables</li>
<li>May carry a personal sales quota</li>
<li>Up to 50% travel</li>
<p><strong>Additional Duties:</strong></p>
<li>Within the Building Automation / Controls market, track competitor activities, client needs, products, systems, prices, reports and recommends changes and improvements to management when appropriate</li>
<li>Launch, Support, and Monitor Building Automation specific initiatives, collaborating with Service and Operations managers for initiatives related to technical execution of projects</li>
<p><strong>Required Competencies:</strong></p>
<li>Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how it supports related operations</li>
<li>Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action</li>
<li>Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above</li>
<p><strong>Professional Knowledge:</strong></p>
<li>Knowledge of industry trade and practices for the mechanical construction industry</li>
<li>Knowledge of bids, proposal generation, specification compliance and general business and construction law</li>
<p><strong>Technologies:</strong></p>
<li>A thorough technical knowledge of Building Automation Systems</li>
<li>Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems</li>
<li>Ability to design, estimate and draw comparisons at the component level between client and competitors offerings</li>
<li>Knowledge of mechanical scientific principles, with some electrical and electronic background</li>
<li>Understanding of finance and budgeting principals</li>

<li>Minimum of 15 years experience in geotechnical consulting primarily in Alberta or Western Canada.</li>

You will be required to do site investigations, quantity/material takeoff&#8217;s, prepare project estimates &amp; budgets, checking estimates for extensions, accuracy and errors, contacting sub-trades and suppliers for quotes, evaluating quotations, as well as recommending sub-trades. Also, the successful candidate will be responsible to oversee estimators in the department for tender finalization, pre-construction services and attending design meetings.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Skills and Qualifications </strong>(Minimum Requirements)<br />
Diploma or Degree in Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience. A minimum of 7-10 years estimating, controls and/or engineering experience in construction. Advanced knowledge of assigned discipline, estimating techniques, cost control, conceptual budgeting and the ability to interpret computerized cost data/systems, is essential.</p>
