Exercising in School

Well, I should hope so. 

When I was a young girl in Austria, I couldn’t wait to start school.  I so wanted to learn.  Before I came of age, I used to look in the school windows, wishing I could be in class with the other children.  When the day actually came, I headed out alone.  My mother and step-father, unbeknownst to me, followed me, hiding behind trees and bushes.  I had to cross a busy street.  For months, we’d practiced crossing streets.  Looking left and right etc. 

One of the best times at school was spent in gymnastics.  We had so much fun, what with the horse and all.  Then came the front rolls.  Oh it was so much fun. Read more…

Husbands – A Pain in the Wahoosy

Most of the time, I love my husband. We’ve been together a long time. We like most of the same things although I vote Liberal and he votes Conservative. He thinks marriage is forever and I don’t like the word “forever”. Sounds like a jail term. I prefer to feel I’m in this relationship because I want to be – not because I have to be. We are both neat and clean freaks. We are both pro-choice and we believe in the right to die. We like experimenting with foods from all over the world. The list goes on.

But, you knew it was coming, didn’t you? Our decorating sense is totally opposite. Well, we used to agree until we moved into this condo with 10 foot ceilings and wrap-around windows. You can’t decorate it in the normal way. It’s much more like a loft. He doesn’t understand that. We almost came to blows today. Read more…
